Yes. Drivers will need their own kart to join Liam Atkin Racing. Although hiring a kart is possible, it is usually a more expensive option over time. If you're unsure where to start with purchasing a kart, we're happy to offer advice and help you find the right equipment for your budget and racing goals.

Yes. Liam Atkin Racing offers test days throughout the year, including weekdays and selected weekends when the team isn't racing. Winter testing plays a key role in preparing drivers for the upcoming season, giving them valuable track time before racing begins. Every test day includes professional driver coaching and detailed data analysis, helping drivers understand their performance and continue improving. We also provide on-track coaching, delivering live feedback to develop confidence, consistency and racecraft.

Our race calendar varies depending on the championships and events we compete in each season. We regularly attend club meetings at tracks including Fulbeck, PFI, Whilton Mill, Kimbolton and Shenington, as well as major championships throughout the UK. Not at all. Parents don't need any previous motorsport experience to join Liam Atkin Racing. We'll always be happy to answer questions and help you understand race weekends, regulations and what to expect. For families looking for extra support, we can also arrange a dedicated mechanic at an additional cost, while you continue to benefit from the support and atmosphere of the LAR team awning.
